Now, a&nbsp;ro\u00adbot-as\u00adsis\u00adted sys\u00adtem en\u00adables even more in\u00addi\u00advi\u00addual and pre\u00adcise treatment.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An in\u00adno\u00adva\u00adtive, ro\u00adbot-as\u00adsis\u00adted sys\u00adtem has been used for the first time in Aus\u00adtria at the Evan\u00adge\u00adli\u00adcal Hos\u00adpi\u00adtal-Vi\u00adenna since the be\u00adgin\u00adning of Fe\u00adbru\u00adary. The CORI sys\u00adtem, de\u00adscri\u00adbed by sur\u00adge\u00adons as a \u201cro\u00adbo\u00adtic team mem\u00adber,\u201d en\u00adables the me\u00ada\u00adsu\u00adre\u00adment, plan\u00adning and exe\u00adcu\u00adtion of a&nbsp;pro\u00adce\u00addure fully tail\u00ado\u00adred to the pa\u00adti\u00aden\u00adt\u2019s in\u00addi\u00advi\u00addual ana\u00adtomy and life\u00adstyle, as ex\u00adplai\u00adned by Head of Or\u00adtho\u00adpe\u00addics, Prim. Univ.-Doz. Dr. Tho\u00admas M\u00fcllner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How does the \u201cro\u00adbo\u00adtic team mem\u00adber\u201d&nbsp;work?<\/strong><br>\nBa\u00adsed on a&nbsp;CT scan, a&nbsp;de\u00adtailed plan for the ope\u00adra\u00adtion is crea\u00adted, tail\u00ado\u00adred to the pa\u00adti\u00aden\u00adt\u2019s ana\u00adtomy. This data is ta\u00adken over by \u201cCori\u201d, whose cen\u00adter\u00adpiece is a&nbsp;high-speed mil\u00adling ma\u00adchine, and im\u00adple\u00adments the spe\u00adci\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons with the hig\u00adhest precision.<br>\nFor ex\u00adam\u00adple, the ro\u00adbot sys\u00adtem au\u00adto\u00adma\u00adti\u00adcally stops the sur\u00adge\u00adon\u2019s hand as soon as en\u00adough bone ma\u00adte\u00adrial has been re\u00admo\u00adved. This pre\u00advents un\u00adneces\u00adsary bone wear and, for the first time, en\u00adables pre\u00adcise mo\u00adde\u00adling of the re\u00adcess for the ar\u00adti\u00adfi\u00adcial joint to the nea\u00adrest tenth of a&nbsp;millimeter.<\/p>\n<p>The ad\u00advan\u00adta\u00adges for pa\u00adti\u00adents are di\u00adverse. \u201cThis pre\u00adcis\u00adion also al\u00adlows the bone to fuse bet\u00adter with the im\u00adplant. Prim. M\u00fcll\u00adner: \u201cThe\u00adr\u00ade\u00adfore, pa\u00adti\u00adent sa\u00adtis\u00adfac\u00adtion has been over 93 per\u00adcent for ye\u00adars.
